Naomi’s story is nothing short of amazing!
She was adopted at birth and grew up near the coast in northern Brazil. There she spent her entire life studying music, art, and dance. In 2017 the age of 17, she was offered to study ballet in Hamburg, and she came to Europe never looking back. After the completion of her studies, she was offered to work for the Hamburg ballet.
In 2020 she was invited to dance for Pina Bausch Tanztheatre in Wuppertal Germany. She has been recognized as the first trans woman to dance the lead female role in such a traditional and well recognized dance theatre in Germany, and continues to break boundaries by dancing also for the role which was originally danced by the iconic dance pioneer and choreographer herself, Pina Bausch.
Her first photoshoot was for VOGUE ITALY (print) and since then she has had one other cover. Alongside dancing, she is a model, painter, and activist, fighting for trans visibility and rights.
